The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC), whose mission is to create extraordinary musical experiences that inspire community, activism and compassion, today announced the honorees for their annual Crescendo Gala being held on April 27 at the Fairmont San Francisco. Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will be honored with the Vanguard Award and Olympic medalist in figure skating Adam Rippon with the Trailblazer Award. Zendesk will receive this year’s Corporate Champion Award for their commitment to LGBTQ global equality.

The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC)—under the leadership of Dr. Timothy Seelig, Artistic Director and Christopher Verdugo, Executive Director—continues Season 41 with The Brits are Coming!, a one-night-only salute to legendary British musicians and the wonderful music they have shared with the world. Today, the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC) announced that the first-ever National LGBTQ Center for the Arts will open in San Francisco, CA. With a primary focus on performances, public programs and community partnerships, the Center provides a space to bring the arts community and SFGMC together. Purchased for $9.6 million, the new Center will house a cutting-edge media center, provide a creative space for LGBTQ artists, serve as a meeting location for community leaders, host trainings and internship programs and more.

Today, San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC) Artistic Director Dr. Timothy Seelig and Executive Director Chris Verdugo announced a benefit concert for those ravaged by the fires in Northern California on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 5 p.m. at 170 Valencia Street in San Francisco. A minimum donation of $25 is requested. SAN FRANCISCO (June 26, 2018) – Last night in front of approximately 2,400 concertgoers, Dr. Tim Seelig, Artistic Director of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC), served as guest conductor at the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square concert at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California. Seelig stepped onto the conductor’s podium to lead the Choir and Orchestra in the encore number, “This Land Is Your Land.” The Choir traditionally invites a guest conductor who is well known to the community—from musicians and government officials to religious leaders and celebrities—at each of its concert stops.
