SAN FRANCISCO (August 16, 2019)—The San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus (SFGMC)—under the leadership of Artistic Director Dr. Timothy Seelig and Executive Director Christopher Verdugo—announced today that Contentful, a leading content management system provider, will be partnering with SFGMC to contribute ongoing technical access and cloud storage for SFGMC’s new digital archive.
“The new platform will allow SFGMC to share a rich tapestry of archival print, film and electronic media that documents our origins, members, milestones, and media coverage for more than 40 years,” said Verdugo. “We are grateful to all the individuals who have dedicated countless hours to documenting and preserving our history so that we can share it with others.”
SFGMC’s digital archive is being developed by a small team of dedicated Chorus members, alumni, and volunteers whose combined skills have helped memorialize LGBTQ history in the San Francisco Bay Area. The official launch of the new website and archive access will be announced in early 2020.
