Since we can’t take you with us on the road, we will bring the Lavender Pen Tour to you! Join us for a magnificent homecoming concert at Davies Symphony Hall called "Bridges" with the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Oakland Interfaith Community Choir and Oakland Interfaith Youth Choir. With nearly 500 singers on stage, it'll be an incredible evening of glorious music. We will also present the California premiere of the remarkable "Seven Last Words of the Unarmed" by Joel Thompson, and we will be joined by special guest Holly Near.

UNBREAKABLE

To cap off Season 40, we bring back Andrew Lippa — composer of the seminal work “I Am Harvey Milk” that we world premiered in 2013 — for a monumental new commission about the history of the LGBTQ movement, titled “Unbreakable.” Working with Lippa are Academy Award-winners Dustin Lance Black (MilkWhen We Rise) and Bruce Cohen (MilkAmerican BeautyBig Fish), and playing the lead roles will be Andrew Lippa himself and Lisa Vroman, soprano.
